ThreatKrusher Pillar 03 · Secure connectivity and security review

Establish secure connectivity, then make its security decisions reviewable.

Remote access, third-party connections, and security signals are harder to evaluate when it is unclear what was affected, what evidence is available, who can respond, or what to do next. Trust helps organize bounded connectivity and the review of security conditions.

Trust supports agreed monitoring, review, validation, coordination, and evidence work. It does not guarantee prevention, detection, containment, recovery, or the absence of compromise.

Evaluate the connection and the security condition

What connectivity is appropriate, what must be verified, and who can act?

A remote-access design, alert, test result, configuration observation, or report is not a conclusion by itself. The team needs context about the users, resources, information, affected scope, possible consequences, ownership, limitations, and next authorized action.

Secure-connectivity scope, when contracted

Choose an access pattern that fits the work and information.

ThreatKrusher Trust delivers managed zero trust network access, secure access service edge, and virtual private network services within a defined secure-connectivity scope. Planning, implementation, integration, operation, and support are matched to the approved environment, users, resources, and agreement.

Zero trust network access

Use identity, device, application, and policy context to provide a bounded path to approved private resources. The exact architecture, policy, coverage, and operating responsibilities require an approved design and agreement.

Secure access service edge

Bring network and security functions together for a defined user, location, application, or internet-access path. Service boundaries, traffic handling, inspection, logging, availability, and provider responsibilities must be explicit.

Virtual private network

Provide a protected connection for defined users, sites, systems, or administration needs. A VPN does not by itself establish appropriate identity, authorization, segmentation, monitoring, or governance.

What Trust organizes when contracted

Connectivity context and expected condition

Connect the relevant users, systems, identities, services, information, dependencies, owners, expected state, and boundaries to the connectivity or security condition under review.

Signals and evaluation

Use approved information sources, records, observations, tests, or reviews to evaluate a condition. Identify what the evidence supports, what remains unknown, and whether escalation is warranted.

Findings and response coordination

Connect a condition to the accountable owner, scope, decision, service work, exception, remediation, communication path, and next review. A finding is not the same as a confirmed incident or a completed correction.

Validation and assurance records

Preserve the method, period, reviewer, result, limitation, exception, and next step needed to support a bounded conclusion. Evidence supports a decision for its stated scope and period. It does not prove a future state.

Improvement and change

Update coverage, ownership, procedures, records, training, and review priorities when systems, services, information, risks, or operating conditions change.

People, process, and system

People

The client retains business, risk, legal, privacy, employment, and material communication authority. Within agreed scope, eTrepid supports defined technical review, coordination, evidence, escalation, and remediation responsibilities. Qualified specialists may be needed for work outside that scope.

Process

Define the condition, observe, evaluate, decide, coordinate, correct, validate, preserve evidence, review, and improve through authorized workflows. The required path depends on the condition and its consequences.

System

Use approved systems of record to connect assets, identities, security observations, service work, changes, findings, decisions, exceptions, evidence, and reviews. The system assists the decision. It does not make the client’s risk decision or legal determination.

Essential ecosystem dependencies

Comply:

Connects security obligations, control owners, evidence requirements, exceptions, and review work.

Access:

Provides the identity, privilege, authentication, authorization, and review context needed for security decisions.

ITSM:

Turns authorized response, remediation, change, incident, and validation work into assigned operating records.

Continuity:

Helps the responsible team prepare for and evaluate disruption and recovery dependencies within the agreed scope.

Evidence boundary

Support a defensible conclusion without exposing security-sensitive material.

Public pages should not contain vulnerabilities, indicators, incident evidence, logs, forensic material, access lists, credentials, client data, or confidential architecture. Any evidence example requires permission, appropriate redaction, a defined scope and period, a reviewer, and a stated limitation.

Your next step

Start with the protected boundary, connectivity need, available evidence, and response authority.

In a working session, we can clarify the condition that needs review, the decision owner, the evidence that matters, and the next operating action. If scheduling is not the right next step, you can send a request, call, or start a chat instead.
